Even if you guys like it or not, the Sense UI comes along with every Android firmware upgrade coming from HTC, and it will be that way for a long time. While the previous versions of Sense have been rather bulky, the latest iteration of the user interface, the Sense 5 (which is featured by the just launched HTC One), will seem a lot more simplified.
In case you like the UI and want it on your device, as well, the company has announced that Sense 5 will be available for other handsets, too, not all of them, though. HTC stated on its official Facebook page that it will roll out a software update including Sense 5 to some of its smartphone in the following months. The current device list only consists of the HTC One X, One X+, One S, and HTC Butterfly.
Nevertheless, you should know that even if you devices in included in the above list, the firmware update won’t bring you all of the Sense 5 functions, because some of them are only supported by the hardware sported on the HTC One. Even though the company hasn’t mentioned the Droid DNA, the handset will most probably receive the upgrade in the months to come because the 5-incher was spotted with Sense 5 a while ago.
So, are you excited about the news, or you don’t really love Sense and you hope that your HTC smartphone won’t be included in the list?
