Acer is finally bringing its Iconia Tab A510 tablet to us, as after the numerous rumors and leaked information, the company has decided to officially release this new Android 4.0 powered device through the US market. The announcement was made on Acer’s webpage where you can also find other details about the A510, like the full specs list, some reviews and of course the price tag. This and more are described during the following lines, so for making a proper opinion about this new tablet, just check it all out.
The Iconia Tab A510 is the successor of the well-known Acer A500, which was a quite impressive device, though its performances are not that impressive. Anyway, the A510 specs are including a quad-core (Acer’s first) Nvidia Tegra 3 1.3 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage memory, a 5 MP rear facing camera along with a 1 MP front facing one, a 10.1 inch (1280×800, 1080p) display and the latest version of the Android platform, the Ice Cream Sandwich OS. If you don’t find these performances powerful enough you can wait for the Iconia Tab A700, which is said to be Acer’s highest-end model to be released this year.
As stated in the introduction, if you are interested in buying this tablet, you are in luck as Acer just released it for the US customers. This is coming after the last month announcement, when the device was made available for pre-orders from Amazon and Acer itself. The Iconia Tab A510 price is $450 (the 32 GB, Wi-Fi version) and can be ordered from Acer’s online store from where you can also get the Olympic Game Edition, which has the competition’s logo on the back but is otherwise similar to the reference design. The device is available only in black, but as you can see in the image from above the design will not disappoint you.
So, this is it. What do you think is the A510 a god replacement for the old A500 (specs and price related), or you rather wait for the more powerful A700? Stay close for further announcements.
