Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean I535VRBMD3 OTA Update for Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 Rolling Out

Update Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean for Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3

The Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 has begun to roll out, and there are already some users who are reporting that the software update has already hit their devices.

Even though the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy S3 is already available for download at most of the carriers outside US, Verizon is somehow lazy when it comes to pushing software updates for their terminals. Anyway, the highly-appreciated Samsung Galaxy S3 from Verizon is now receiving an OTA update sized 129.1 MB which will bring the software version to I535VRBMD3.

The Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 is a major one bringing new features like Multi Window (allows the user to run tow apps simultaneously on the same screen) and Best Shot (allows you to choose the best foto from a series of five burst shots).

Even though Verizon’s website lists the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean I535VRBMD3 update for Samsung Galaxy S3 as rolling out in a few days, some users have reported that they already received the OTA update for their handsets.

Besides the common bug fixes, Multi Window and Best Photo goodies, the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy S3 also brings improvements to Samsung Gallery (it now allows you to categorize images, photos, and videos), a new feature called “bill to my Verizon Wireless Account” for buying apps from Google Play Store, improved Screen Time Out feature and updated S Voice App.

In the Task Manager menu, the Remove All option has changed its name to Close All, you will be able to turn on NFC easily, the Paper Artist tool is now available, as well as Page Buddy, and you will be able to share content between two devices with S Beam’s Auto Share Shot.

As I was mentioning above the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Verizion Samsung Galaxy S3 is rolling out OTA and given the size of 129.1 MB you might want to connect to a WiFi network. If you haven’t received the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean I535VRBMD3 notification yet, you might want to check for it manually. In order to do so head to Settings > About Phone > Software Update and hit the Check for Updates button.

Just in case you forgot, the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 is sporting a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and Gorilla Glass 2 protection. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset with two Krait cores clocked 1.5 GHz, Adreno 225, and 2 GB of RAM. The 8 megapixel camera on the back comes autofocus, LED flash, Simultaneous HD video and image recording, geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, image stabilization, and support for recording full HD videos.

The Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 comes with all the connectivity options worthy of a modern smartphone, sporting EV-DO Rev. A, up to 3.1 Mbps; LTE, Cat3, 50 Mbps UL, 100 Mbps DL, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and microUSB 2.0. The smartphone measures 137.2 x 71.1 x 7.6 mm, weighs 133 grams, and boasts a 2,300 mAh battery.

I have had jellybean for months now and I just got the update this morn for the multi window. I love it. Only thing I don’t like, they don’t have a spot for the speak to text on the keyboard when you are typing in multi window view.

Just got the update this morning (May 31 2013). About 100mb, installed in about 5 mins with no issues. The multi-screen is kinda cool, not sure what I would use it for, but I like it nonetheless. Still lags when swiping away from the home screen to the left or right though…

Got it yesterday, and love it love it. The only thing i dont understand is why it installed an App called Caller Name ID and when u click on it it says it is not activated try again later. Kinda weird to install something that doesnt work but hey microsoft has been doing that for years.

Totally ruined my phone!!!!! They have pulled the update as it ruins the 4g antenna as well as battery functionality… I went from getting 18mbs down and 9 up to 1 or 2 mbs down and .5 up… and if i have less than 3 bars of service i get no data whatsoever… Verizon sent me a new (factory refurbished) device and pulled the download….
