I have been an avid Android user for several years now but Google has royally screwed up with this new 4.1.2 update. My phone no longer recognizes my SD card and my pictures are missing. Verizon said there seems to be a problem reading SD card but it was working just fine less than an hour before the update. My coworkers and I were taking pictures and comparing the quality of her IPhone to my Bionic ( I was trying to convince her that the Android of phones was better than the Apple. I was kinda eating my words after I was complaining about the update and arguing with Verizon. She looked at me and asked "so why did you say that Android is better than Apple again?") The apps and widgets are not functioning properly. I have an extended battery and it drains extremely fast. The UI looks like a child designed the drop down task bar. It is very large and boxy. I do not like anything about this new update. They did not properly test this before rolling it out. Verizon said they cannot do anything about it because the operating system belongs to Google and we are required by the EULA to have the latest version of the operating system installed. The phone gets extremely hot and generally is useless at this point. I was just convincing my coworker to get an Android over another IPhone but now I am reconsidering. I know this is a knee jerk reaction and hopefully they will get this fixed but sadly this is making my phone useless. Everything was working just fine until the update. I spoke to Verizon and they said "That is weird; we haven't had any complaints on any of these issues so far." I had already told them I had already visited this forums page and read that others had been on the phone with Verizon for hours. I replied "I already sent you the link showing where many others are having this problem and had been on the phone with your tech support for hours." The rep abruptly changed the subject "Let's try and do a master reset on your phone". Never another word about others having the same issue. They just said they would send a report to Google. I hope they can do something to undo the damage they did. I know that not everyone is having these issues; consider yourself lucky. I do not directly blame Verizon but I cannot really use my phone that I am paying a hefty price for and their only solution was to send a report to Google. My contract is up in June and I will have to really consider my choice of operating systems and depending on how long this last and how Verizon chooses to handle this, possibly my carrier. I hate Apple and Microsoft but Google just joined the list. I will have to play with my wife's IPhone and see if it is something I can learn to like and take a look at the Windows phone. I would much prefer Google just fix this mess so I can stay where I am. This is much more than someone who does not like change, my phone is not functioning properly and causing a miserable time to try and use it. It is kind of like booting the computer in safe mode. My browser, which is Chrome, opens then abruptly closes, my weatherbug app opens then says no network detected, my camera opens but won't store or allow me to view my pics. So as I say, this has caused the phone to be a dumb phone and greatly impacted my user quality.

I have the Droid Razr. I have lost all 3G and 4G service since the update. The only time it works is if I'm at home and connected to the wi-fi. I can't look up anything on the phone, even the weather, unless I'm at home with the wi-fi on. What is causing this?

This update really sucks on my Razr Maxx. Can't set ringtones the way they were. Won't read all the ringtones I had on my phone. Why can't they leave things alone when they are working! Also I have my phone set to "no lock" and now when the phone rings I have to unlock the screen and it auto answers. No more options to ignore. Bad bad bad
