The International / unlocked versions of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy Note 2 LTE N7105 can now be updated to Android 4.1.2 as the official OTA software has been released. So, even though it’s still not Jelly Bean 4.2 as many of us were expecting, this ROM is more than welcomed because there are important bug-fixes and features included in the system.
The upgrade’s changelog isn’t as impressive as the one spotted recently for the Galaxy S3, which also received the Android 4.1.2 OS, but there are features that worth our attention, so don’t worry you have all the reasons for installing the official Jelly Bean 4.1.2 ROM on your Galaxy Note 2.
Anyway, you should know that the OTA update is not yet available for all the international Galaxy Note 2 N7100 and Note 2 LTE N7105 devices, meaning that many of you will have to wait a little bit longer for the firmware to come. So far, the Android 4.1.2 software can be applied only by the Poland (through carrier Playand and only for the unlocked handsets) and the Sweden users (that can apply the OS for the LTE variant of the GNote2), with more countries to follow soon.
The full list of features that will be flashed on your Note 2 once you update to official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean are being mentioned in the image from below. Take a look and see if that’s what you were expecting from Samsung, or if there should have been added more improvements for your phablet. Don’t forget that the Android 4.2 official update is also almost ready, so the release of the same should take place sooner than you might think.
Now, the Android 4.1.2 OS can be OTA received, or you can use the KIES tool for updating your handset by using a Windows running computer. If you haven’t received the upgrade yet, then you must know that a manual method can anytime be performed. For that, you can use our step by step guide and install the official Jelly Bean 4.1.2 XXDLL1 on your Galaxy Note 2 LTE N7105.
