Both the Sony Xperia Z1 and the Xperia Z Ultra were updated to Android 4.3 back in December, but the Japanese phone maker is now rolling out a new software update that is meant to bring further improvements and bug fixes.
The Android 4.3 roll out for Sony Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra was announced via Twitter. According to Sony, the new firmware update arrives to bring fixes and improvements to WiFi performance, Bluetooth music streaming, and email. You will also notice that a white balance setting for the display will be added after you perform the update.
The new Android 4.3 update for Sony Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra is labeled 14.2.A.1.136 and is being rolled out in phases. This means that not all of you will be able to download and install it right away. If you didn’t receive the system update notification yet, it’s worth trying your luck by checking for it manually. In order to do so you have to navigate to Settings > About Phone > System update > Check for updates.
Alternatively, you can check for the update through Sony’s PC Companion and Mac Bridge apps.
