Google has released a brand new Factory Image for the Verizon Nexus 7 LTE tablet. This means that now you are able to restore your device to a stock Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM using such factory image files.
This release is of great interest for Verizon Nexus 7 LTE users who have installed custom ROM or, for those that wish to use the binaries and create such custom ROMs based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The official version number of this release is “4.4.2_r2 (Verizon) (KVT49L)” and it brings only a new version for the baseband radio.
Users with custom ROMs installed on their Verizon Nexus 7 LTE tablets will be able to use this release in order to restore them to original state. Note that in case you do apply such change for your device, then you will lose all data that is currently stored on it without the possibility of recovering any type of file.
Also, this release is great for developers of Custom ROMs, as they from now on will be able to use the Android 4.4.2 KVT49L Factory Image to update binaries for better support and compatibility between KitKat custom ROMs and Nexus 7 LTE Verizon tablets.
Tell us in comments if you had used the Factory Image to restore your device to its original state. Also, this release can be used to update Nexus 7 devices. But, remember that every time you install such Factory Image you will lose all data that is stored on your tablet.
