AOKP Android 4.3 Test Builds Are Now Available for Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 2
The AOKP / RootzWiki team is working extensively on releasing a new working build based on the latest AOSP Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. At the moment there are two different test builds available for Verizon variants of Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 2. These test builds have been put together by BMc08GT and are destined to be used by those users who want to test the latest AOKP 4.3 features.
An AOKP 4.3 test build can be considered an experimental release, as it features some errors and bugs. However, until new and more stable AOKP 4.3 builds, the AOKP 4.3 Test ROMs should provide a great Jelly Bean experience if you own a Verizon Galaxy S3 or a Verizon Galaxy S4. The Verizon Galaxy Note 2 has some missing features, as the Bluetooh, GPS and camera aren’t working at the moment.
With these builds you will also get several new AOKP custom features that were applied over the AOSP Android 4.3 operating system. All the work-in-progress AOKP features have been pushed over the Android 4.3 ROM with the exception of hidden navbar and navbar transparency.
For you to be able to flash this Android Open Kang Project custom ROM based on Jelly Bean 4.3, then you will need to have a rooted device, that is factory unlocked and running a custom CWM or TWRP Recovery installed. You simply use the Custom Recovery mode to flash the AOKP 4.3 test build file followed by the installation Gapps zip for Android 4.3 custom ROMs. Also, note that always you will need to perform a clean installation, action that means that you will need to always apply the ‘factory reset’ before installing any new custom ROM.
So, do you plan on updating your Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4 or Galaxy Note 2 Verizon models with the latest AOKP 4.3 Test Builds or wait for the AOKP team to release more stable versions?
