AOKP Build 3 Available for Download; Galaxy S3 and S2 Officially Supported

I have great news for those of you who had recently updated their smartphones to the AOKP custom ROM firmware, as a new version of the same has just been released. The AOKP built 3 can now be downloaded for the supported devices, the ROM coming with several important bug fixes and new features, which will provide an improved Android experience and a more stable operating system. Anyway, this is not all, as new devices has been added to the official list support of the AOKP platform, the Galaxy S3 and S2 being in the top of the list. Check the next lines for further details.

Now, as we all know, AOKP is one of the most popular custom ROMs available for the Android system, CM being another highly downloaded and used ROM. The recently released versions of AOKP, which of course is being based on the Android Jelly Bean OS, were coming with some bugs and issues, but it seems that with the latest built 3 variant all these problems were resolved. According to the AOKP team, the next features were added to the system:

  • SMS QuickReply
  • Stopwatch & Countdown in the Clock app (CM)
  • Expert Calculator functions (Graph, Matrices, etc.) (CM)
  • IME Switcher & Vib/Ring toggle as NavRing target

Furthermore, the built 3 AOKP update will be officially supported by new handsets, like the SGS3 and S2, along with the Sprint Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S which were added back to the list of supported devices.
