ASUS Already Working On Padfone 3, Release Date Might Be Q3 2013
Padfone is undoubtedly one of the most interesting devices currently available on the market, combining a high-end tablet and smartphone into one terminal, that brings the best features of both worlds into one place.
Not long ago the ASUS Padfone 2 launch took place simultaneously in Milano and Taiwan, being touted as one of the year’s best gadgets. The new device has barely hit the stores shelves and details talking about ASUS Padfone 3 have already started to hit the web, saying that the gadget will be introduced in fall 2013.
According to ASUS vice president’s statements, it seems that we won’t be able to see the Padfone 3 in flash sooner than Q3 2013. With over 150,000 Padfone 2 units shipped in Taiwan over the past few months, Benson Lin, ASUS vice president, announced that the smartphone – tablet combo will hit the Chinese market early 2013. Even though the ASUS Padfone is not a popular device on all the markets of the globe, the officials of the Taiwan-based company have high hopes for the next generations of their smartphone-tablet hybrid.
For the time being, there are no reports regarding the technical specifications or new features of the ASUS Padfone 3, but you can be certain that, just like it happened with the current gadget, the Taiwan-based company will fit a high-end hardware platform and introduce a new and improved design.
Therefore, you should expect a quad or maybe octo core chipset, full HD resolution for the smartphone and over 2,560 x 1,600 pixels for the Padfone 3 Station.
