We did some market research and tried to make a top of the best Android smartphones on the market right now. While making this top we considered the specs, Android version, price and features, so we will not just rank them by the best in specs, like most tops are created.
The rankings are totally unbiased and haven’t been influenced by any third party or feelings. Our team contributed to the Best Android Phones top and we do use different smartphones, which makes it as unbiased as possible. We also switch smartphones very often, so we can try them all, which helps us take the decision when creating this top.

12. Motorola DROID MAXX
The Motorola DROID MAXX is an older Android smartphone, but it remains one of the best. And one of the reasons we’re featuring it here is the battery. Unfortunately smartphones nowadays have a pretty short battery life, but the DROID MAXX beats them all with its 3,500 mAh.
It also features a 5-inch 720-1280 AMOLED display, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, a dual-core 1.7 Ghz processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 10 MP camera.

11. Motorola DROID ULTRA
The DROID ULTRA comes with basically the same specs as the MAXX. The difference between them is that the ULTRA has only a 2,130 mAh battery and is thinner. If you don’t need the extra battery juice, then you should choose this one, as it’s a bit cheaper and thinner.

10. Motorola Moto G
Motorola Moto G is definitely the best budget phone you can find. It’s priced at below $200 unlocked and it has really good specs and features, while it’s also upgradeable to Android 4.4. The Moto G has a 4.5-inch 1280×720 display, a quad-core 1.2 Ghz Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB or 16GB of internal storage, a 5 MP camera, a 2,070 mAh battery and it comes with 50 GB of Google Drive storage free for two years.

9. Motorola Moto X
The Moto X is sometimes compared to Nexus devices, as it comes with nearly stock Android and gets updates extremely fast. It’s also a very cheap device for what it offers, making it the best choice if you’re not planning to spend very much. It features a 720p 4.7-inch AMOLED display, Android 4.2.2 upgradeable to 4.4, 2GB of RAM, a 10 MP camera, 16GB or 32GB of internal storage and a 2,200 mAh battery.
8. HTC One
HTC One is probably the most beautiful smartphone on the market right now, but this isn’t why it made it so high on our top. It also comes with great specs and features. 7. Sony Xperia Z1
Sony Xperia Z1 is a dust and water proof smartphone with a very attractive design and good specs. It was released in september 2013 and it comes with a 2.2 Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 5-inch 1080p display, 16GB of internal memory, 2GB of RAM, Android 4.2 with an upcoming update to 4.4 KitKat.
The Xperia Z1 also features a very good 20.7 MP camera with a 1/2.3″ sensor size, HDR and image stabilization.

6. Samsung Galaxy S4
The Samsung Galaxy S4 has the most features of all Android smartphones, while being also one of the most powerful. It features a quad-core 1.9 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, a 5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, 16 GB, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, Android 4.2.2 upgradeable to 4.4, a 13 MP camera and a 2,600 mAh battery.
Unlike other Android smartphones, the Galaxy S4′s TouchWiz interface brings a lot of great features, like the Smart stay, Smart pause, Smart scroll, air gestures and it includes 50 GB of Dropbox storage for two years.
5. Sony Xperia Z Ultra
The Z Ultra is an absolutely huge smartphone, featuring a 6.4-inch display. It can be compared to a 7-inch tablet, so it may not be for everyone. But if you’re looking for a really big and powerful smartphone, that’s also dust-proof and water resistant, then this is probably the only one available.

4. HTC One Max
The HTC One Max has similar specs to the HTC One, expect for the 5.9-inch screen and the 3,300 mAh battery. It’s one of the most powerful smartphones on the market and it features a 1.7 Ghz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of internal memory, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean (upgradeable to Android 4.4 KitKat) and Sense 5.5.
You should pick the HTC One Max over its smaller brother only if you’re looking for a bigger display. But make sure to play with it a bit first, because it really is big.
3. LG G2
The G2 is LG’s flagship device and it’s also the smartphone Nexus 5 was inspired from. In terms of specs, it can only compare to the Galaxy Note 3, which made us rank it 3rd in our top. It sports a 5.2-inch 1080p display, a 2.26 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP camera and 16GB or 32GB of storage. It also features a 3,000 mAh battery, with a very good lifetime.
Unlike the other smartphones, the LG G2 has its buttons on the back, below the camera, which makes it a little weird at first, but it’s not that bad after you get used to it.

Samsung’s phablet also comes with all of Galaxy S4′s features, along with an S Pen that has its own great functions.
1. Google Nexus 5
Out winner is the Google Nexus 5, built by LG and inspired from the LG G2. In our opinion, it’s the best smartphone right now, featuring stock Android 4.4.2 KitKat, great features, very good specs and a really low price.
The Google Nexus 5 sports a 2.3 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 4.95-inch 1080p display with Gorilla Glass 3, an 8 MP camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), 16GB or 32GB of internal storage and a 2,300 mAh battery.
Google and LG have done a wonderful job with the Nexus 5 and it deserves to be number one, because of what it can offer for such a low price. We really recommend you to choose it if you’re not looking for some special characteristics the other smartphones in our top have.
