A lot of awesome games are now available on the Android Play Store and we tested most of the racing games around to see which one is the best. Fortunately we found a lot of very good games, featuring different cars, locations and control options.
The top ones have really high requirements and may not run on any Android smartphone, due to the very high quality graphics and 3D effects. For the best ones you will need a high-end smartphone, not older than 2 years, or otherwise the games might not run at all or run very slow.
Here is the top we came with after testing the racing games found on the Android Play Store.
1. Real Racing 2
Real Racing game can be downloaded from free from the Play Store, though it’s only a demo version with very limited content. If you like the game then you have to upgrade to the full version though an in-app purchase.
The full games includes 30 cars, over 15 locations totaling 40 miles of high-detailed tracks and a lot of fun. The game has wonderful graphic quality, high sensivity controls and a very realistic driving feeling.
We consider this is the best racing game on the Android Play Store and it can even be compared to desktop versions.

2. Asphalt 6: Adrenaline
Asphalt 6 is comparable to the Real Racing 2, being a really addictive game with lots of content, including cars and race tracks. This game can keep you busy for some time, thanks to its career that makes you wanna advance, win races and challenges. Asphalt 6: Adrenaline features real-world cars and also looks very realistic.

3. Need for Speed: Shift
Need for Speed is the most popular racing game and is now available on Android. It brings wonderful features, game modes, cars and locations. This is an arcade game, so don’t expect a simulator-style game and the driving feeling won’t be very realistic, but the game can be very fun.
It has really good graphics, though it cannot be compared to Real Racing 2 or Asphalt 6.

4. Raging Thunder 2
Ragin Thunder 2 is a bit different from the other games presented in this article. It’s locations included the Great Wall, temples, beaches and other weird places, making it very interesting. One more great thing is that the cars actually crash so you have to take care how you drive.
One more feature that makes this game awesome is the multiplayer mode, which allows you to play via your friends or random opponents.

Asphalt HD can be compared with the Asphalt 6, though it supports lower-end smartphones, though still having great graphics. This game has been one of the most popular after the release and is still played by a lot of Android users.
It looks and feels very much like the Asphalt 6 and there really aren’t big differences between them. It’s all in the graphic details.

8. Reckless Getaway
This game is exactly what its name suggests. You need to get rid of cops in an adrenaline-full race. Though this game is not that simple and boring as it sounds. There are 16 levels, very good controls, and there are much more to come, according to its developers. Though this is not such a popular game, we liked it very much.
