BlackBerry Z10 Outsold Samsung Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5 in Canada

The BlackBerry 10 series is probably that last hope of the company to revive itself. The BlackBerry Z10 is the latest flagship of the Canadian manufacturer, which seems to be selling an important number of units, at least in Canada. According to one of the Canadian retailers, the BlackBerry Z10, not only that only that it’s very popular, but it has trashed the competition when it comes to sold units.

Retailer Glentel, which has in impressive number of stores across the country, said that the BlackBerry Z10 has sold more units than other major players like the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S3. The retailer stated that since February 5 when the smartphone was released, it sold more units than any other device available in the stores.

This is not such a big surprise, after all it’s only natural for the Canadians to support the company, but the smartphone has just been released and when people decide to upgrade their phone they usually buy it immediately after its launch, so the excitement may end soon. Also, it would have been better if the retailer would have revealed some actual numbers, so that we can compare them with the units sold by the Galaxy S3 and the iPhone 5 in their first month. Therefore, the comparison is not so relevant.

However, there is no big deal about a little praising there. In fact, the BlackBerry Z10 is not a bad smartphone after all. It does sport some nice technical specs, and the brand still has its fans, though they are fewer than before, when BlackBerry OS was the most widely spread operating system worldwide. If the company would have come with some innovating stuff, maybe it would have been remained on top.

Anyway, they can’t go back though time, so now it’s Google’s turn to shine. We’ll see for how long.

Interesting to see that the Z10 is doing well in Canada. It would be great to see the sales stats in a few months time to see just how much impact this phone has had on a wider scale. Have they saved themselves?

Does anyone proof read anymore?? All credibility of the article is lost when the simple spell check and grammatical proof reading process is clearly ignored. Ironically, had this been written using the Z10, the new keyboard and predictive text software would have caught all the errors.
