How to Enter Google Nexus 10 Fastboot Mode

Use this tutorial and learn how to successfully boot your Nexus 10 tablet in Fastboot Mode. This is a post for those users who want to gain access to their tablet’s hidden system options in order to be able to unlock the tablet’s bootloader, factory reset or apply any other similar changes.

Fastboot Mode can also be used to push updates, files, commands and others. There are plenty of actions that you can take using Fasboot aka Bootloader mode, but most of them will work only if you have the Android SDK bundle and drivers installed on your computer.

If you have recently bought your Nexus 10 tablet and you wish to tinker with it, then you should know that it would best for you to use Fastboot and Unlock its bootloader with it. Simply install the Android SDK drivers, open a command prompt in the SDK/ platform-tools folder and enter the “fastboot oem unlock” line. How to Enter Fastboot Mode on Google Nexus 10:

  1. Power off the tablet completely.
  2. Press and hold Volume Up, Home and Power, all at the same time.

  3. Release all buttons when the Fastboot Mode shows the START test on the upper side of your device.
  4. Fastboot Mode main menu should appear and that would be all you had to do.

In order to be able to apply changes for your device you should connect it to your computer using the USB data cable.
