There is only one day left until the most eagerly anticipated Android smartphone unveiling in recent history. I am of course talking about the Samsung Unpacked event that is going to take place tomorrow in London. Unfortunately for us end users, Samsung has managed to keep tight wraps around their new flagship device, but all of this is about to change in the very near future. As it happens, some smartphone retailers out there have already started updating their lists with the new Galaxy S3, although they are all using some mock up images and the coming soon statuses.
One of these retailers is Carphone Warehouse, which has recently added the Samsung Galaxy S3 to its coming soon handset list. It also managed to place a rather generic touchscreen candy bar shaped phone as the image of the new device. As further proof that details about the S3 are still pretty much scarce, even Carphone Warehouse decided not to place any specs alongside the coming soon announcement.
If we are to move on to the rumor and, we will find that the Samsung Galaxy S3 is going to be the smartphone that tops the performance charts in the Android world. It will supposedly pack a quad core Exynos processor running at 1.5 GHz and a whole 1 GB of RAM. There are still no leaks about the other specs, but we do expect it to ship with a 4.6 or 4.8 inches wide Super AMOLED Plus display of HD resolution. Camera wise, we may see another 12 MP top dog smartphone adding to the Xperia S camera top dog.
As far as the software is concerned, there may not be leaks but the Galaxy S3 will surely come with Android 4.0 ICS, most likely in its 4.0.4 version and it will spot a new version of Samsung’s ToucWiz user interface.
With this in mind, we can only wait and see what Samsung has prepared for us at the London event, and thankfully we can already count the hours to it.
