Champagne Gold HTC One Now Available in UK

It’s about a month since the Taiwan-based phone maker officially revealed the Champagne Gold HTC One, also announcing that the smartphone will become available for purchase in the European stores before Christmas. HTC is keeping their promise as the golden HTC One is now up for grabs in the UK at both Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4u.

For the time being, Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4u are the only retailers in the UK to have the Champagne Gold HTC One listed as available, but you might hear of more retailers selling the golden One in the coming days. Anyway, it’s still unclear whether the Champagne Gold HTC One will go on sale outside the European market.

If some of you are planning to purchase the Champagne Gold HTC One from either Carphone Warehouse or Phones 4u, you should know that both retailers are offering the smartphone strictly on contract and not SIM-free. As you’ve probably guessed, the price of the golden HTC One varies depending on what plan you choose and which carrier you deiced to go with. You can also grab the smartphone for free, if you agree to sign a 2-year contract for a quite-pricey plan.

Aside of the color, the Champagne Gold HTC One is the same as the standard HTC One models when it comes to technical specifications. The HTC flagship smartphone boasts about a full HD 4.7-inch display, while being underpinned by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset based on four Krait 300 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz and an Adreno 320 GPU.

HTC One also comes with 32 GB of internal storage, 2 GB RAM, 4 UltraPixel camera with OIS and 1/3” sensor size, BoomSound speakers, and a 2,300 mAh battery. The Android 4.3 update is currently being rolled out for the carrier-locked HTC One units from different parts of the world, and it was even reported that it will get Android 4.4 KitKat by the end of Q1 2014.

If you are planning to purchase the golden HTC One you might want to have a look at Carphone Warehouse and Phones4u websites here and here, respectively.
