CyanogenMod 10.1.2 stable build has been launched earlier today, it brings new security updates for the base CM 10.1 OS along with some other tweaks and improvements. The files are ready for download from Get.CM web site, grab them and flash the stable builds using a custom Recovery mode.
CyanogenMod ROMs are one of the most popular releases based on the latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system. Now that it has reached the stable editions, we already have the 3rd version released as the CM 10.1.2 Stable build is currently available for download. There are 50 different devices supported by this release and more are expected to be available soon.
With this new release, all users that install CM 10.1.2 will get the Master Key security tweak, a new tool created by Google this year and already implemented in stock ROMs. There aren’t any other major changes from CM 10.1.1, but it is always recommended for you to run the latest available build.
All the US based Samsung Galaxy S3 versions are supported, Galaxy S and S2 I9100 / I9100G also. There are tons of other supported devices and you can check them out by using the link listed at the of this post.
After you upgrade your device with this CM build, you will still be able to receive updates by using the Settings menu, where you can find the CyanogenMod updates section. Check for new stable builds or look for a Nightly build, as those are usually released on a daily basis.
