The Amaze 4G was launched by the Taiwan-based manufacturer in October 2011 and due to its high-end hardware for its time it’s still available on the market in some places. The smartphone is 130 mm long, 65.5 mm wide, 11.8 mm thin, and around 173 grams when it comes ti its weight. Its screen measures 4.3 inches and has a 960 x 540 resolution and a pixel density of 256 ppi.
The HTC Amaze 4G has been released running Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, but it can be upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The phone is powered by a dual-core Scorpion CPU clocked at 1.5 GHz and has and Adreno 220 GPU. Furthermore, the handheld offers 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage which can be expanded by up to 32 GB of extra memory as it features a microSD card slot.
The owners of the HTC Amaze 4G are allowed to take photos and record 1080p videos using the 8 MP primary camera that includes functions such as autofocus, dual-LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus and face detection, but the smartphone also sports a 2 MP secondary camera on the front.
In terms of connectivity, the HTC Amaze 4G has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, DLNA, hotspot, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, stereo FM radio with RDS, and microUSB 2.0. The battery cell is a Li-Ion 1730 mAh which provides a 264 hour autonomy in stand-by and up to 6 hours of talk time, internet browsing and other activities. The machine is available in two color options namely black and white.
