The LG Optimus 2X was officially announced in December 2010. The smartphone was made available for purchase early next year, in February 2011.
LG Optimus 2X measures 123.9 x 63.2 x 10.9 mm and has a weight of 139 grams. It has a 4.0-inch IPS LCD display with 480 x 800 resolution, 233 ppi pixel density, and Gorilla Glass protection.
The device was released with Android 2.2 Froyo on board and it was later on upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich. The processing tasks are handled by an Nvidia Tegra 2 AP20H SoC with dual-core 1 GHz Cortex A9 CPU and ULP GeForce GPU. It has 512 MB of RAM, 8 GB native storage and microSD support up to 32 GB.
Optimus 2X has an 8 MP primary camera with autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, face and smile detection, touch focus, and Full HD video recording and a 1.3 MP user-facing camera. It’s kept alive by a 1,500 mAh battery.
The smartphone is available only in Black. It brings connectivity features such as HSPA, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, FM radio, and microUSB 2.0.
