LG Optimus 3D was officially announced by the South Koreans in January 2011. For some reason, the device was made available for purchase almost half a year later in July 2011.
Optimus 3D integrates a 3D LCD display sized 4.3 inches diagonally. It has a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, 217 ppi pixel density, and Gorilla Glass protection. It was launched pre-loaded with Android 2.2 Froyo and it’s upgradable to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
LG Optimus 3D features a TI OMAP 4430 SoC with dual-core 1 GHz Cortex A9 processor and PowerVR SGX540 GPU, has 512 MB of RAM, 8 GB storage, and microSD support up to 32 GB. On the back there’s a 5 MP primary camera with autofocus, LED flash, Stereoscopic photos & videos; geo-tagging, and 1080p@30fps (2D), 720p@30fps (3D) video recording.
In terms of connectivity, it arrives with HSPA, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, and microUSB 2.0. LG Optimus 3D is 128.8 mm tall, 68 mm wide, and 11.9 mm thin, while weighing in at 168 grams.
