LG Optimus 4X HD was officially announced in February 2012 at Mobile World Congress tech fair in Barcelona. The smartphone was made available for purchase almost half a year later, in June 2012.
LG Optimus 4X HD arrives with 4.7-inch True HD-IPS LCD screen with 720 x 1280 resolution, a pixel density of 312 ppi, and Gorilla Glass protection. It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box with Optimus UI 3.0 skin and it’s upgradable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The processing tasks are handled by a quad-core 1.5 GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, paired with 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB storage, and microSD expansion support up to 64 GB. LG Optimus 4X HD measures 132.4 x 68.1 x 8.9 mm and has a weight of 133 grams.
The smartphone integrates an 8 MP primary camera with autofocus, LED flash, and Full HD video recording, and a 1.3 MP secondary camera. It has connectivity features such as HSPA, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC, and microUSB 2.0.
The smartphone is kept alive by a 2,150 mAh battery that promises up to 11 hours of 3G talk time. LG Optimus 4X HD is available in Black and White.
