Meizu M9 was officially launched by the China-based phone maker on January 1, 2011, resulting in buyers lining up overnight to enter the stores to purchase the device.
The smartphone is 113 mm tall, 59.8 mm wide, and 11.2 mm thin, while weighing in at 123 grams. It was released with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread on board it was upgraded to Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Meizu M9 is powered by a Samsung-made Hummingbird SoC with single-core 1 GHz Cortex A9 CPU and PowerVR SGX 540 GPU. It has 512 MB of RAM, 8 or 16 GB of internal storage, and microSD support up to 32 GB.
The device also features a 1,370 mAh battery and a 3.54-inch display with 640 x 940 resolution. It has a 5 MP primary camera that is capable of recording 720p videos. The connectivity features include WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, WiFi direct, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, and microUSB 2.0.
