Meizu MX was officially announced by the Chinese company in December 2011. Meizu released the smartphone on the market next spring, in March 2012.
The device was launched with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread on board and it was later on upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It features a 4.0-inch AVS display with 640 x 960 resolution and 288 ppi pixel density.
Meizu MX is underpinned by an Exynos chipset with dual-core 1.4 GHz Cortex A9 CPU and Mali 400 GPU. It has 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, while being equipped with an 8 MP primary camera with autofocus, LED flash, and Full HD video recording. The secondary camera has VGA resolution.
The device measures 121.3 x 63.3 x 10.3 mm, has a weight of 139 grams, and is kept alive by a 1,600 mAh battery. The connectivity features include HSPA, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, GPS, and microUSB 2.0.
