Motorola Droid 2 was announced in August 2010 and it was released on the market later the same month. Because it’s a member of the Droid family it was available exclusively at Verizon. Droid 2 arrives with a full QWERTY slide-out keyboard.
Motorola Droid 2 measures 116.3 x 60.5 x 13.7 mm and has a weight of 169 grams. It features a 3.7-inch TFT display with 480 x 854 resolution and 265 ppi pixel density. The smartphone comes pre-loaded with Android 2.2 Froyo.
It’s powered by a single-core processor clocked at 1 GHz, while integrating 512 MB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, and microSD support up to 32 GB. On the back of the device there’s a 5 MP main camera with autofocus and support for recording 480p videos.
Motorola Droid 2 is kept alive by a 1,400 mAh battery which, according to the manufacturer, can get the device through up to 10 hours of talk time. The connectivity features include WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, and microUSB 2.0.
