Samsung Galaxy Gio has model number S5560 and it was unveiled by the South Korean company in January 2011. Gio made its market debut in March 2011.
Even by the time’s standards, Galaxy Gio was seen as a low-end smartphone, sporting a 3.2-inch TFT display with 320 x 480 resolution and a pixel density of 180 ppi. The device was powered by a single-core Qualcomm QCT MSM7227-1 Turbo processor at 800 MHz paired with an Adreno 200 GPU. On the technical specifications list you will also be able to find 278 MB of RAM, 158 MB of internal storage, and support for microSD cards up to 32 GB.
Samsung Galaxy Gio features a 3.15 MP camera with autofocus, smile detection, and 320p@15fps video recording. The connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, FM radio, and microUSB 2.0.
The smartphone measures 110.5 x 57.5 x 12.2 mm, weighs in at 102 grams, and is equipped with a 1,350 mAh battery that should be capable of getting it through up to 10 hours of talk time. It was released pre-loaded with Android 2.2 Froyo and it was upgraded to Android 2.3 Gingerbread later on.
