Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 was introduced to the public in November 2013 and it was made available for purchase on select markets in January 2014. The smartphone is available in two variants: SM-G7102 with dual SIM card slots and SM-G7105 with LTE network support.
Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 boasts about a 5.25-inch TFT display with 720 x 1280 resolution and 280 ppi pixel density. It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box and it’s upgradable to Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
The device is underpinned by a Qualcomm MSM8226 Snapdragon 400 with quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex A7 CPU and Adreno 305 GPU. It has 1.5 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage, and support for microSD cards up to 64 GB.
Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 arrives with an 8 MP primary camera with autofocus, LED flash, and Full HD video recording, and a 1.9 MP secondary shooter. In terms of connectivity it brings Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, GPS, FM radio, and microUSB 2.0.
The handset is 146.8 mm tall, 75.3 mm wide, 8.9 mm thin, and has a weight of 163 grams. It’s equipped with a Li-Ion 2,600 mAh battery.
