Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was officially announced in September 2013 at IFA Berlin tech fair. The third generation Galaxy Note phablet was made available for purchase later the same month.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was one of the most powerful smartphones released in 2013, being powered by either a Snapdragon 800 SoC (quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU) or an Exynos 5 Octa 5420 SoC (Quad-core 1.9 GHz Cortex-A15 & quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 and Mali-T628 MP6 GPU). Both models have 3 GB of RAM, 16/32/64 GB of internal storage, and microSD support up to 64 GB.
The device arrives with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD (1080 x 1920) resolution, 386 ppi pixel density, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It measures 151.2 x 79.2 x 8.3 mm and has a weight of 168 grams.
Galaxy Note 3 is equipped with a 13 MP main camera with autofocus, LED flash, Dual Shot, Simultaneous HD video and image recording, geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, panorama, HDR, and 4K video recording support, and a 2 MP user-facing shooter. Connectivity-wise it arrives with LTE, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, NFC, IR blaster, and microUSB 3.0. It also integrates a 3,200 mAh battery.
