Samsung officially announced the launch of Galaxy S2 in February 2011. After it was released on the market in April, S2 became the best-selling Android smartphone of the year.
Samsung Galaxy S2 features a 480 x 800 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display with 217 ppi pixel density, and Gorilla Glass protection. The smartphone was released with Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, but it can be upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Of course, the operating system is customized with Samsung’s proprietary TouchWiz skin.
The device is 125.3 mm tall, 66.1 mm wide, 8.5 mm thin, and has a weight of 116 grams. It comes with an Exynos 4120 chipset with dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex A9 CPU and Mali 400 GPU, while integrating 16/32 GB of native storage, microSD support (up to 64 GB), and 1 GB of RAM.
On the back of the Samsung Galaxy S2 you will be able to find an 8 MP primary camera with autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, and full HD video recording support. It also comes with a 2 MP secondary shooter.
Samsung’s flagship smartphone for 2011 has connectivity features such as HSPA, WiFi a/b/g/n, WiFi direct, DLNA, hotspot, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, FM radio, and microUSB 2.0. It also has a 1,650 mAh battery.
