Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini was aimed at the mid-range segment and it was seen as a cheaper and more compact alternative to the company’s flagship smartphone for 2012. S3 Mini was announced in October 2012 and released on the market in November.
Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini arrives with a Super AMOLED display sized 4 inches diagonally which has a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and a pixel density of 233 ppi. It’s 121.6 mm tall, 63 mm wide, 9.9 mm thin, and has a weight of 111.5 grams.
The compact smartphone was released with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on board with TouchWiz UI on top of it. It has a dual-core 1 GHz NovaThor U8420 processor with Mali 400 GPU, 1 GB of RAM, 8/16 GB of internal storage, and a microSD slot (up to 64 GB supported).
Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini has a 5 MP primary camera with autofocus, LED flash, and 720p video recording, and a VGA user-facing camera. The connectivity features of the device include HSPA, WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, GPS, FM radio with RDS, and microUSB 2.0. Galaxy S3 Mini is kept alive by a 1,500 mAh battery.
