The Galaxy S4 was Samsung’s flagship smartphone for 2013 and it was the best-selling Android smartphone of the year. The device was introduced during company’s Unpacked event held in March 2013 and it made its market debut in April 2013.
Samsung Galaxy S4 is 136.6 mm tall, 69.8 mm wide, 7.9 mm thin, and has a weight of 130 grams. It arrives with a 5.0-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD (1080 x 1920) resolution, a pixel density of 441 ppi, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It was released with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean on board and it’s upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The device is available in two variants: one powered by an octa-core Exynos 5 Octa 5410 SoC with Quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A15 & quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 and PowerVR SGX544MP3 GPU and the other sporting a Snapdragon 600 SoC with quad-core 1.9 GHz Krait 300 CPU and Adreno 320 GPU. It comes with 2 GB of RAM, 16/32/64 GB of native storage, and microSD support up to 64 GB.
Samsung Galaxy S4 features a 13 MP main camera with autofocus, LED flash, Dual Shot, Simultaneous HD video and image recording, geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR, and full HD video recording, and a 2 MP secondary shooter. It comes with connectivity features such as LTE, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, NFC, IR balster, and microUSB 2.0.
