Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 was officially announced by the South Korean company in February 2012 at Mobile World Congress tech fair in Barcelona. It’s available with both WiFi-only and WiFi+3G connectivity and it debuted on the market in April 2012.
As its name suggests, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 arrives with a 7.0-inch PLS LCD display. We are talking about 600 x 1024 resolution and a pixel density of 170 ppi. It measures 193.7 x 122.4 x 10.5 mm and has a weight of 345 grams.
The compact tablet was released with Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich on board and it’s upgradable to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Of course, the interface is customized with Samsung’s TouchWiz skin.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is powered by a dual-core 1 GHz TI OMAP 4430 processor with PowerVR SGX540 GPU, paired with 1 GB of RAM. It’s available in three storage options: 8, 16, and 32 GB, all with support for microSD expansion up to 32 GB.
The tablet has a 3.15 MP main camera with 720p video recording support and a user-facing shooter with VGA resolution. In terms of connectivity it arrives with HSPA (WiFi+3G model), WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, GOS, and microUSB 2.0.
