Samsung Galaxy Vibrant was officially announced in January 2011 and made available for purchase a month later. It has model number T959 and was available for purchase through T-Mobile exclusively.
Samsung Galaxy Vibrant arrives with a 4.0-inch Super AMOLED display with 480 x 800 resolution, a pixel density of 233 ppi, and Gorilla Glass protection. It comes pre-loaded with Android 2.2 Froyo, while being powered by a Hummingbird chipset with single-core 1 GHz Cortex A8 CPU and PowerVR SGX540 GPU.
The smartphone also integrates 512 MB of RAM, 1 GB storage, and microSD support up to 32 GB. It comes with a 5 MP primary camera with autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, and HD video recording, and it also has a front-facing VGA camera for video calls.
Galaxy Vibrant comes with connectivity features such as WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, and microUSB 2.0. It measures 122.4 x 64.5 x 9.9 mm, weighs in at 118 grams, and it’s kept alive by a Li-Ion 1,650 mAh battery that promises up to 6 hours and 30 minutes of talk time.
