Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc was officially introduced to the public in January 2011. The smartphone has hit the brick and mortar stores sometime in March 2011.
The terminal is 125 mm tall, 63 mm wide, and 8.7 mm thin, while having a weight of 117 grams. It arrives with a 4.2-inch LED-backlit LCD display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels and a pixel density of 233 ppi.
The smartphone was released with Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board and it’s upgradable to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The processing tasks are handled by a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC with single-core 1 GHz Scorpion CPU and Adreno 205 GPU. Xperia Arc also comes with 512 MB of RAM, 320 MB of internal storage, and microSD support up to 32 GB.
Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc features a rear-facing 8 MP camera with LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection and 720@30fps video recording. In terms of connectivity it arrives with HSPA, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS with A-GPS, FM radio with RDS, and microUSB 2.0.
The device is kept alive by a Li-Po 1,500 mAh battery. According to the manufacturer it’s capable of getting through up to 7 hours of 3G talk time.
