Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo was announced by the Asian phone maker in February 2011. The smartphone made its market debut in March the same year.
Connectivity-wise, Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo arrives with features such as HSPA, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, hotspot, Bluetooth 2.1 A2DP, GPS with A-GPS, Stereo FM Radio with RDS, and microUSB 2.0. It was released with Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread on board with Timescape UI and it was later on upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo features a 3.7-inch LED-backlit LCD display with 480 x 854 resolution, a pixel density of 265 ppi, scratch-resistant glass, and Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine technology. The processing tasks are handled by a Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon processor with 1 GHz Scorpion CPU and Adreno 205 GPU.
The device is 116 mm tall, 57 mm wide, 13 mm thin, and has a weight of 126 grams. It also comes with 512 MB of RAM, 320 MB storage, and support for microSD cards up to 32 GB. On the back there’s an 8 MP primary shooter with autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, face and smile detection, and 720p@30fps video recording.
