In July 2014, Xiaomi officially announced their flagship smartphone for the year. Called Xiaomi Mi 4 it was made available in select countries as of August 2014.
Xiaomi Mi 4 is 139.2 mm tall, 68.5 mm wide, 8.9 mm thin, and has a weight of 149 grams. It integrates a 5.0-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD resolution, 441 ppi pixel density, and an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 72.3%.
The hardware platform is based on a Snapdragon 801 SoC with quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU, paired with 3 GB of RAM. The smartphone is available with either 16 or 64 GB of internal storage.
On the back, there’s a 13 MP primary shooter with autofocus, LED flash, 1/3” sensor size, 1.12µm pixel size, geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, panorama, HDR, and 4K video recording support, while the front panel accommodates an 8 MP camera for your selfie needs. Mi 4 runs Android 4.4.3 KitKat out of the box, customized with MIUI 5.0 skin.
In terms of connectivity, Xiaomi Mi 4 arrives with HSPA, LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, IR blaster, and microUSB 2.0. It’s kept alive by a massive 3,080 mAh battery.
