Instagram for Android

Instagram has been just released for Android and it made a lot of buzz, being one of the most popular iOS apps. Less than 24 hours after being released it already has over 45,000 reviews on the Google Play Store and counting.

Unfortunately some users have reported that they cannot download Instagram from Play Store, so we are offering a way of directly downloading the .apk file.

Instagram is a very simple application that allows you to take a photo, do some basic editing and instantly upload it to Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare or Tumblr. You can choose which service or services to use for each photo you take. The application makes it very easy to upload your photos to more services at the same time without having to use an app for each one.

During the  time we tested Instagram for Android the app worked flawlessly and it will definitely be a better option for users who used Facebook’s own app to upload photos, because the latter is very slow and full of bugs, as thousands of users report it.

You have below direct links to download Instagram for Android either from Google’s Android Market aka Play Store or the .apk file from a file sharing service.

Please let us know your impressions about the application and if you had any problems with it. We are also going to write an in-depth review and guide for it, so stay close.

Download Instagram for android from Play Store or the apk file.

after I updated to Android 4.0.4 with sony xperia U, my instagram camera does not look right. almost the whole of it is black so you’re not able to see what you’re shooting. You can add a picture from your galery or share it to instagram and all the rest works fine. Something wrong with the display only, and I suspect the problem is with the phone, so I will be asking sony too. Just in case any of you had this issue too.

My Xperia Sola has this problem too. To clarify, only a small section of the preview is shown and bizarrely it is the far right quarter but when I take the photo it is on the left. It’s impossible to frame anything properly and I just have to hope. I’m running 4.0.4.
