‘SMS Backup & Restore’ application helps users save all the received and set SMS text messages from their smartphones before rooting, updating or flashing the firmware files.

This application is great because it allows you to save all your text messages in a single folder and in case something goes wrong with the firmware update or during the rooting process, then the SMS Backup and Restore will help you restore the texts afterwards. It has to be used before you start updating / rooting your Android. All the SMS text messages backups will be saved as .XML format.

SMS Backup & Restore comes as a Free version and it is available from Google Play Store. It has been created by Ritesh Sahu. It supports multiple languages: Finnish, Russian, Spanish, French, German, Dutch, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Swedish, Estonian, Simplified Chinese, Slovenian, Welsh, Czech, Macedonian, Turkish, Hungarian, Hebrew, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Norwegian, Danish, Romanian and Greek. Other languages support should be added to future updates.
