The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be officially unveiled tomorrow during a Samsung Unpacked event held in Berlin, but in the meantime we get to see more leaks about Sammy’s next-gen phablet.
After we’ve seen tons of spy shots, leaked front panels, and purported technical specifications, now we get to look at the first leaked Galaxy Note 3 case that were provided for Mobilissimo.ro by a Romanian retailer.
As you can see in the gallery below, there’s a pretty big hole for the came, which might be a sign that the Samsung handset will come with bigger lens and, maybe with a bit of lack, Xenon flash instead of LED. There’s also a whole for the S Pen stylus, which might receive an upgrade this year after the South Korean company purchased 5% in Wacom shares, a Japanese company specialized in manufacturing graphic tablets with stylus input.
The leaked cases also suggest that the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will have sharper edges than its predecessor, which bring it closer to the looks of Galaxy S2 or the first Galaxy Note.
The rumor mill speculates that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will sport a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED panel with full HD resolution along with 3 GB of RAM and three internal storage options: 16, 32, and 64 GB. Just like its predecessors the Galaxy Note 3 will come with microSD card support and a removable battery.
Sources say that there will be two Samsung Galaxy Note 3 variants and that the processor will be the only difference between them. One will be powered by Samsung’s proprietary Exynos 5 Octa chipset with four Cortex A15 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz, four low-energy Cortex A7 cores clocked at 1.3 GHz and a Mali T628 MP6 GPU, while the other one will be underpinned by Qualcomm’s mighty Snapdragon 800 chipset with quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU.
In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy Note 3 will have all the features worthy of a modern smartphone like all standards of WiFi, 4G LTE, NFC module, infra red blaster, Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, and microUSB 2.0.
Even though the leaked cases pictured below might suggest otherwise, recent reports are indicating that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will borrow the 13 megapixel camera unit curently mounted on the back of the Galaxy S4 without OIS or S Orb 360 degree panorama. Rumor has it that the Note 3 will come with 4K video recording support.
Sources from Korean media suggest that there will also be a cheaper Galaxy Note 3 for the emerging markets which will ditch the Super AMOLED display and the 13 megapixel camera for an LCD panel and 8 megapixel sensor.
