Omega 5.0 is based on the stock Android XXU1ANE4 firmware that’s originally delivered on the Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone. – check the model number of your phone by going to Settings> More> About Device, if the G900F text isn’t listed under ‘Model Number’ section, then you should close this guide.
  • note that your phone has to be rooted and running the latest CWM, TWRP or Philz Recovery variants.
  • in the tutorial you will find two preparation steps: NANDROID ROM Backup and Factory Reset.
    – apply both those steps and do not skip them.
  • if you want to save data from your phone’s installed apps, SMS text messages or any other type of files, then you should use Helium for Android.
  • sync Contacts info with your default Gmail account.
  • check your device’s battery power level and make sure that it is over 50%, this will prevent the Galaxy S5 from switching off while you’re installing Omega v5.0 Android 4.4.2 ROM.
