We are quickly approaching the deadline for Galaxy Note 3 release date and U.S. carriers are competing in offers in order to attract more customers and take advantage on the popularity of this phablet. And in this madness, you might be tempted to rush in and grab the first offer you encounter, with the risk of realizing that on long term, the offer you initially thought is best suited for your needs, might in fact be a disillusion and without any notice, you find yourself in the situation of having to pay a 2-year contract with less benefits and at a higher initial price than if you have first studied every offer.
Therefore, we have launched this guide in order to help you choose the best offer and enjoying the phablet with no “long term” regrets. But first, let me remind you that Samsung’s newest flagship device was available for pre-orders at several carriers including Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile and if you haven’t opted out for a pre=orders, below you have all U.S. major carriers offers and also some offers from electronic retailers, including the specs sheet offer and the exact release date on each store.
Some stores have bounded the Galaxy Note 3 with the Galaxy Gear, because Galaxy phablet is going to be the first Samsung device who will support the Galaxy Gear, in this case watch out for the bundled offer and you might get this bonus at the same price.
T-Mobile is one of the carriers who made the Galaxy Note 3 available to pre-order and it now comes with an interesting offer once the phablet is going to be released on October 2nd in their stores. Initial price trough T-Mobile is $199.99 on a 2 years contract, with $21 each month, making it reach up to $703.99 at the end of the deal. And here we are talking about the 32GB model which is the only model available at T-Mobile, but in two colors: Jet Black and Classic White. The offer is not bounded with the Galaxy Gear, which you can purchase separately for $299.oo, making the whole pack worth $1002.99 . The whole information list about this offer is available at the T-Mobile official product page.
Verizon is next in line with the same pre-order availability, but with a delay in actually offering the phablet. The official release date for honoring the pre-orders is set on October 10th, but there did not mention if October 10th is going to be the date when customers can purchase the phablet from their stores. Verizon offers the same 32GB version and you will have to pay an initially $299.99 which on a 2 year contract will reach the amount of $699.99. Galaxy Note 3 is available in the same two colors: Jet Black and Classic white and Verizon has a bundled offer for Samsung Gear: $599.98 initial price with a 2 year new contract reaching the $999.98 for the whole pack. The whole offer can be accessed at the Verizon official product page.
AT&T also made Galaxy Note 3 available trough pre-orders, and they have split the launching date within 3 days difference. October 1st for pre-orders shipping and October 4th for in store availability. AT&T offers the same 32 GB version with two colors option, Jet Black and Classic White and the contract offers are quite interesting. Initially you’ll have to pay $299.99 for the phablet with a two year contract or $549.99 with only one year contract. The monthly subscription is going to be $35 per month, reaching a $724.99 full price at the end of contract. There is no bundle with Samsung Galaxy Gear, who is sold separately at the price of $299.00 and if you decide to buy both devices you’ll end up paying $ 1023.99 . All the information regarding availability and contract price plan for these products can be accessed trough AT&T official product page.
Sprint is still running the pre-orders for the 32GB version of Galaxy Note 3 on a two year contract with $349.99 initial price. The official launch date trough Sprint is set to October 4th and there is no mention about the color availability. The Galaxy Gear is not sold together with the phablet, and if you want to purchase it, you’ll have to pay an extra 299.00. Since there are no mentions about the monthly price plan, we cannot make a full price for the phablet or the entire pack. If you’re interested in pre-ordering trough Sprint, then access their official product page and place your offer.
With a more poor information about their offer, U.S. Cellular have announced the release date for Galaxy Note 3 in October, but no other information was made public. They didn’t created a pre-order page and we are not sure which version of Galaxy Note 3 can be purchased trough them or if Samsung Gear is going to be part of their offer. You can still see their official product page where they have olny mentioned the phablet.
Now, moving on to electronic retailers who can offer you both unlocked versions of the phablet and monthly subscription based contract trough specific carriers. Their pricing is much higher than one from the carriers, but it comes with some benefits like no contract and carrier free phablet. The main electronic retailers who placed Galaxy Note 3 and Samsung Gear in their offer are: Amazon, Best Buy and RadioShack.
Amazon is offering the unlocked 32 GB version of Galaxy Note 3 starting $769.99 and the Galaxy Gear in all six colors starting $453. The official release date set by Amazon is October 4th.
On the other hand, Best Buy collaborated with Verizon, Sprint and AT&T for the pre-orders and is following the shipping plan for each carrier. Galaxy Gear is mentioned in pre-orders at $299.99 but it has no release date set yet.
RadioShack is running a campaign where users can trade their Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note 2 for a brand new Galaxy Note 3 . If they choose the Sprint or AT&T offer, the price will drop by $175 or $100 from the initial price, with the mention that no official price was set for Galaxy Note 3.
