Samsung Galaxy Note India ICS Update

Samsung is now officially delivering the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for all Galaxy Note devices all over India. There are several sources confirming this via Twitter and some other India residents have already updated their Note devices to the latest version of ICS.

It packs somewhere near 320MB and you can easily apply it using Samsung Kies desktop tool or OTA. If you wish to see if this update is now available OTA for your Galaxy Note, then you should open Settings, then About Phone and open the ‘Software Updates’ menu.

The ICS update for India comes with an improved TouchWiz UI that has been updated to the latest version. It doesn’t look too different from the former edition but it still packs some new features like the S-Memo and S-Note functions, S Magazine, S Travel and all the other Premium Suite features. Since it is 320 MB large you should use the Wi-Fi connection to prevent any data charges.

Galaxy Note has been launched in India in late November 2011, and only six months after it has received the Ice Cream Sandwich update that can be installed using Samsung Kies or OTA.
