Galaxy S3 Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OTA Update Released for Europe and more

We all know that Samsung is in its way to provide the highly-expected official Jelly Bean Galaxy S3 update for the US market, but also you should know that the OTA update is already available, or will soon come to several countries from Europe and to UK as well. So, if you own the Galaxy S3 and want to know if the Android 4.1 OS will arrive to your device or not, you should take a look over the image from below.

Furthermore, the OTA (or KIESif you prefer to install the upgrade by using your computer) Jelly Bean update will be released through several carriers from different markets not to mention that more retails will be able to apply the latest Android platform until the ear ends.

As you know, during the weekend, the UK users received the mentioned ROM, though not all the retails launched the software yet. But, you shouldn’t worry as you will be able to OTA flash the software during the next few days. Just manually check for it by going to “Settings -> About Phone ->System Update”, or connect your handset with your PC and use KIES for the same.

The Android 4.1 improvement will bring important new features to your S3, such as Google Now, Voice Search, Expandable Notifications, Android Beam and much more. The update will have a 280 MB size and like explained above you can Over the Air install it, or you can use your computer for performing the same operation.

As for the Galaxy S3 users from US, you probably know that the Jelly Bean update for T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T and Sprint is having a “soon to come” date planned therefore nothing certain for now. Not to forget that Verizon had just released the ICS VRALHE upgrade (which it’s also an OTA ROM) for resolving the reported issues and for removing some bugs, meaning that the Android 4.1 is not ready yet. That’s all for now, but stay close, as fresh news are being expected in the coming days.
