Those of you who want to buy the Samsung Galaxy S4 and don’t want a two-year contract with any mobile operator can now head to eBay and purchase the unlocked international model of the handset, as it comes at a pretty good price.
eBay lists the GT-I9500 model, in other words the Galaxy S4 powered by the Exynos 5 Octa processor clocked at 1.6 GHz and with 16 GB of internal memory, for $739.00. I think this is a very good deal if we take into consideration the fact that Amazon is selling the same Galaxy S4 model for a much higher price of $895 (at Target it costs even more). Also, bear in mind that the eBay stock is limited so you better hurry up if you want to take advantage of this offer.
However, you better like white because just the White Frost variant is on sale. Again, you have to think fast because, even though the seller does not mention how many Galaxy S4 units it stocks, the eBay Daily Deals web page says that the handsets are “almost gone”. If you’re feeling lucky you should order it right away.
I must repeat that eBay is selling the unblocked international version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and it only works with a microSIM card. eBay even mentions that the customers should bear in mind that the smartphone will not work with CDMA mobile operators, like Sprint and Verizon, thus you should be very careful and verify if the device will function on your carrier before purchasing it.
If you are living in the United States and the international version doesn’t have support for your network, another possibility would be to pre-order the Sprint version from Best Buy or Amazon Wireless, or pre-order the Verizon variant from any Best Buy store.
For the rest of you, all I van say is good luck in catching the Galaxy S4 on eBay!
