Even though the Samsung Galaxy S4 has been announced for quite a while, there aren’t many potential customers that know exactly when the device will be released in their country and how much it will cost. All we know so far is that the Galaxy S4 will be offered by some US mobile operators like T-Mobile and AT&T, by Canadian carrier Rogers and a bunch of UK networks. Of course, there have been many carriers that announced that they will be offering the Galaxy S4, but the mentioned operators are the only ones that made all the details public.
Another company that has just provided the availability and pricing details of the Samsung Galaxy S4 is Expansys Portugal. The retailer has the Galaxy S4 with 16 GB of internal storage listed at €689.99 ($884). The price is for the off contract variant of the device, of course, and bot black mist and white front color versions will be available.
The price us a little spicy, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is a flagship smartphone, after all, and it cheaper than the Sony Xperia Z, which is also a great device but it can’t be compared to the S4. However, if you don’t think that the Galaxy S4 is worth this kind of money, you can always wait for another retailer or carrier to stock it. Surely, there will be stores that will offer it at a better price tag.
If you didn’t already know, the Portuguese version of the Galaxy S4 (and the one that will be sold by Expansys) is the one sporting the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core CPU clocked at 1.9 GHz. Until know there has been no information about the Exynos 5 Octa version of the device heading to Portugal. Nevertheless, things might be different in the future. After all the ore-order madness will come to an end, maybe Samsung will speed thing up in terms of Exynos 5 Octa CPU mass production, and the eight-cored beast might arrive in Portugal, as well.
As for the shipping date of the Galaxy S4, Expansys does’t mention anything, but the retailer will certainly update its website in the following days. When it does, we’ll let you know.
Anyway, what do you think about the handset’s price? Are you still going to purchase the Galaxy S4?
