A couple of days ago, we heard that the Indian version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 is scheduled for launch sometime at the beginning of May. Today, more details of its release date are available meaning we know exactly how much it’s going to cost and when it’s going o be shipped.
Anyway, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is going to be available for purchase from stores starting May 1 in India, according to online publication TechOne3. Also, the latest Samsung flagship smartphone can already be pre-ordered from online retailer Tradus, which lists both color versions of the handset, namely the Black Mist and White Frost. The two variants are available only for the 16 GB Galaxy S4, while the 64 GB model is coming only in white for now.
When you make the pre-order for the Samsung Galaxy S4 you will be required to make a Rs. 999 deposit, which will be latter added to the final payment when the device will be ready to ship. Tradus mentions that the 16 GB version of the phone will cost around Rs. 45000, though the phone maker didn’t officially announced the price of the device in India.
Unfortunately, the retailer doesn’t provide any details about further technical specs, but according to previous reports the Samsung Galaxy S4 that will land in India will be similar to the European version sporting the Exynos 5 Octa processor under the hood. Other rumors say that the quad-core powered version of the smartphone will be available too, but the Galaxy S4 underpinned by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 will arrive later this year in India.
Besides the processor, the Samsung Galaxy S4 also boasts a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with a pixel resolution of 1920 x 1080, 2 GB of RAM, PowerVR SGX 544MP3 GPU, and 13 MP rear-facing camera. The device also sports a 2 MP camera located in the front and it runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean right out of the box.
