Yesterday when the Samsung Galaxy S4 was unveiled in New York, JK Shin specified that the smartphone will be available in 155 countries at no less than 327 carriers. However, he “forgot” to mention the exact release date.
While we still don’t know when exactly the Galaxy S4 will be available for purchase in North America, it looks like the folk in Europe are going to get it first, the people living in the UK to be more specific.
UK mobile operator Everything Everywhere has just announced that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be offered to its customers as of April 26. But, that’s the date when the flagship will hit the store shelves, the carrier also mentioning that the device can be pre-ordered beginning with March 28.
EE will be offering the 4G LTE variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4, but more carriers in the UK are expected to have the device in stock in the following weeks. Also, there is no doubt that all the important mobile networks in Europe will have the handset available in the weeks to come.
Unfortunately, just like the other mobile operators that have announced that they will stock the Samsung Galaxy S4, Everything Everywhere made no comments concerning the price of the phone meaning that the potential customers of the smartphone will have to wait some more until they will know how much money they will have to spend on it.
We remind you that the Galaxy S4 comes with a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with a pixel resolution of 1080 x 1920 protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device is powered by an Exybos 5 Octa chipset that features a quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A15 CPU and a quad-core 1.2 Ghz Cortex-A7, which is helped by a PowerVR SGX 544MP3 GPU. There are three different versions of the phone depending on its amount of internal storage and you have the 16/32/64 GB. The smartphone comes with a 13 MP primary camera located in the back that features Dual Shot, Simultaneous HD video and image recording, geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, image stabilization, HDR and it’s capable of dual-video full HD recording. The Galaxy S4 also has a front-facing shooter of 2 megapixels that allows you to make dual video calls. There is nothing else to mention, but the fact that it runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean right out of the box along with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.
So, the details about the Samsung Galaxy S4 have been made public. Are you still interesting in buying it, or are you disappointed about what it has to offer and you’re going for another smartphone?
