It seems that Best Buy is offering the Samsung Galaxy S4 for pre-order with a contract with Verizon. However, unless you go in person to one of the retailer’s store you can’t pre-order the device.
According to some people who commented on online publication Droid Life, the retailer has sent text messages to its customers saying that the Galaxy S4 is up for pre-order (the Verizon model), but the pre-order offer is available only in store. As for the shipping date or when the customers can actually buy and go home with the Galaxy S4, Best Buy hasn’t provided any information.
The carrier has announced that it will start selling the Samsung Galaxy S4 sometime in May, so we expect that the customers who pre-order the handset from Best Buy to receive it in the same period of time. We only hope that it will be in early May as the mobile operator has not specified an exact shipping date.
Also, there are no details regarding pricing or what Galaxy S4 variant will be available. Nevertheless, the price will be probably comparable with the one AT&T offers the device for, which is $199.99 for the 16 GB model, and $249.99 for the 32 GB one (both prices are available with a two-year contract).
Most people are familiar with what the Samsung Galaxy S4 has to offer, but for the one who aren’t, you should know that the latest Samsung flagship features a 5-inch Super AMOLED screen with a pixel resolution of 1920 x 1080, a 13 MP primary camera located on the back, a 2 MP front-facing shooter, 2 GB of RAM, 16/32/64 GB of on-board storage which can be further expanded as the phones includes a microSD card slot.
The Galaxy S4 is powered by two different SoCs depending on the region where it’s sold, and we have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU and the Adreno 320 GPU, which will be sold in the United States, Canada and some European markets, and the Exynos 5 Octa CPU along with the PowerVR SGX 544MP3 GPU, which will be sold in the rest of the regions. The phone will run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean right out of the box, which will come along with the TouchWiz Nature user interface on top.
Is there anyone out there who is going to pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S4 from Best Buy?
