Verizon has launched the registration page for the Samsung Galaxy S4. In case you guys sign up, you will receive the latest information about the device directly on your email account. Unfortunately, the carrier doesn’t provide an exact Galaxy S4 release date, only mentioning that it will be available soon.
Moreover, unlike other use carriers, Verizon doesn’t even offer the smartphone for pre-order. It only launched a standard registration page that many networks set up every time a popular handset is about to be launched. Verizon is among the seven US mobile operators that will be selling the Galaxy S4 in 2013, but the difference is that the number 1 network will offer it a little bit later that its competition. The carrier announced the device on its official Twitter account saying that it will be available sometime in May, but again no details about the price or shipping date were provided.
As for its main rivals, we already know that Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile will start shipping the Galaxy S4 at the end of April, while regional carrier U.S. carrier will have it in its stores in the same period of time. Just like in Verizon’s case, we still don’t have information about the release date and price of the Galaxy S4 from C Spire and Cricket. All that we know is these networks will indeed stock the flagship.
If you ask me, the fact that Verizon will have a delayed Galaxy S4 release is not such a big surprise because the carrier also started offering the Galaxy S2 and the Galaxy S3 later than the other networks.
However, we expect that Verizon will give more details about the matter in the near future, so stay tuned!
