Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 Caught In The Bluetooth SIG Logs
Even though it hasn’t been yet announced by Samsung, a handset that seems to be the rumored Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 has shown up at the Bluetooth SIG.
In spite of the fact that the handset is not listed as being the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 (and we don’t even know how will the tablet will officially be named), the specified model number has appeared in many related reports. It seems that the model number of the handheld is SM-T311. The rumor says that it’s a 8-inch tablet, which Samsung still has in development and that it will be launched soon.
However, Bluetooth SIM does offer some solid information, specifically that we’re talking about a Samsung “Mobile tablet” and provides the listing date as being April 26.
A couple of days ago, we heard that Samsung will be releasing a new tablet featuring an 8-inch display this summer. but there we’re no details about its model number or about how it’s going to be named. If we take into consideration the fact that the company’s first 8-inch tablet, the Galaxy Note 8.0, is already available for purchase in some markets, we expect that this new device to actually be the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0.
According to the Bluetooth SIG listings, it seems that the handset is meant for the European market. Nonetheless, if this really is the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, the Samsung will certainly release it in a plethora of regions, like Samsung’s did with the former Galaxy Tab versions.
We don’t have any official details regarding he device’s technical specs, but according to UnviredView, the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 will sport an 8-inch screen with a pixel resolution of 1280 x 800. It looks like it will be powered by a quad-core CPU and will run Android Jelly Bean. The tablet will have a profile if just 6.95mm, and just like the Galaxy Note 8.0, it will be sold in white at first.
Again, these are just rumored specs as Samsung is yet expected to provide us with some official details, which will probably happen soon considering that the tablet ill be released in the summer. For now, the only sure thing is that the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 will have support for Bluetooth 4.0.
What’s your opinion? You think that it’s worth buying assuming that the mentioned specs are real?
