In terms of design, the Gionee S10 is going to feature a metal build with a rather thin frame and a slightly protruding rear camera lens(es). As you can see in the image posted by TENAA, the Gionee S10 features dual cameras at the back, along with a dual-tone LED flash. The back of the handset also houses a circular fingerprint scanner, with the signature Gionee smiley face embedded inside it.
The mid-range smartphone will feature a 5.5-inch sized LTPS LCD display with 1080 x 1920 Full HD resolution and curved glass on top. Powering the S10 will be an octa-core SoC clocked at 2 GHz, although the exact SoC hasn’t been revealed in the TENAA listing. Moving on to memory, the smartphone is listed to include 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in memory. The handset does support memory expansion, but with a Hybrid Dual SIM slot. That means you will be able to insert a microSD card to expand the storage only if you give up the second SIM slot. If you must use two SIM cards, you will have to live with the 64GB of internal storage that is going to be on offer.
At the back, Gionee S10 is going to feature a dual-camera setup with two 13MP resolution sensors. For great high-res selfies, the smartphone is equipped with a 16MP resolution snapper on the front. On the connectivity front, the handset will include the usual Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with A-GPS, and 4G VoLTE. The battery inside the S10 will be a 3700mAh unit, which is likely to deliver pretty decent battery stamina. In terms of dimensions, the smartphone is listed to measure 154.5 x 76 x 7.6mm and weighing in at 176.6 grams. Surprisingly, the S10 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, with Gionee’s Amigo OS running on top. More info on the smartphone will be revealed next month, which is when we expect it to be officially announced by Gionee.
